K3 Retail and Omnica to deliver full multichannel platform for Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail

 

UK provider of retail solutions based on Microsoft technology, K3 Retail has announced a strategic partnership with Omnica, a multichannel retail software solutions specialist.

 

The partners said their collaboration will create an end-to-end multichannel solution for retailers on the Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail platform and increase the range of new generation technologies available.

 

Andy Makeham, chief executive of K3, said: “This is a strategically important agreement for K3 since it provides us with the strongest capability in the multichannel retail market. Omnica’s multichannel offering is an excellent proven solution, which is complementary to our existing software platforms. We believe this strategic partnership will help to strengthen our presence in the mult channel retail marketplace and we look forward to working closely with the Omnica team in the future.”

 

Ready certified integration

 

K3 Retail said that, with the Omnica partnership, it will be able to further grow its market share in the Microsoft Dynamics AX enterprise resource planning (ERP) market by providing multichannel functionality such as call centre and webstore segments, specifically tailored for multichannel retailers.

 

Omnica’s solution is ‘Certified for Microsoft Dynamics,’ indicating that it has achieved Microsoft’s highest standards for partner developed software. The certification is designed to show that Omnica has demonstrated development quality and compatibility with the underlying Microsoft Dynamics product, passing rigorous VeriTest software solution testing for development standards, documentation and supporting services. Solutions must also have a minimum of 10 reference customers, which include Direct Wines, Orbital Marketing, Lucky Vitamin and The Scout Shops.

 

Harry Manley, Omnica managing director, said: “Omnica MCR has been developed as a product solution to be implemented by other people, so that end-users are not locked in to us. It shares all the same values and design principals of the underlying Microsoft Dynamics AX solution and the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics designation reflects that approach.”
