Hosting firm's UKFast Track programme supports online fulfilment entrepreneurial growth with eBay

Hosting firm's UKFast Track programme supports online fulfilment entrepreneurial growth with eBay

It's down to the business community to encourage young entrepreneurs to generate new ideas and start their own companies, according to serial entrepreneur Lawrence Jones.

Jones made the comments as one of his projects, the UKFast Track, supports the launch of myParcelDelivery.com.

Since being selected as one of the 2009 winners of the scheme, online courier comparison site myParcelDelivery.com has now come to fruition and is seeing good results.

Founded by entrepreneurs, David Grimes and Paul Haydock, myParcelDelivery.com is an online portal for courier services across the UK domestic and international market. Recently appointed as a 'Preferred Shipping Partner of eBay', the company is also on target to hit its predicted first year turnover of £1.25-2 million.

Making early business investment pay

Co-founder Grimes said: "The potential savings that winning this competition presented were a huge incentive to enter. Since winning, UKFast has shown us an unbelievable amount of support. Not only did they provide us with invaluable advice about our business idea in its final stages, but they have continued to support, encourage and help us ever since."

Grimes added: "They have also helped our in-house team spirit by inviting us to various events that they have held, including inviting us to watch Sale Sharks rugby team."

Jones added: "The UKFast Track was designed to provide deserving business concepts with the opportunity to flourish in difficult economic times. There are lots of great entrepreneurial ideas and upcoming talent out there which the business community has a responsibility to encourage and nurture."

Jones launched the UKFast Track scheme last year to enable budding entrepreneurs to make their ideas a reality. Offering essential support and six months of free hosting at a value of £15,000, the scheme looks for entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for business in each of its five winners.

Other UKFast Track winners include Picture Nation, who entered the scheme to breathe new life into their online image library.
