Fashion retailer partners with Session Digital to develop its e-commerce business across Europe

 

French fashion retailer Kookai has teamed up with specialist e-commerce agency Session Digital to deliver a scalable e-commerce solution as part of its European multichannel strategy.

 

Kookai selected Session Digital based on its proven track record in architecting and implementing complex technical solutions, award-winning creative expertise, and forward-thinking approach to digital commerce, the agency said.

 

Open-source development approach

 

“Fashion retail is a fast-paced industry and Kookai needed a flexible, portable, and cost-effective solution that could be developed at a comparable speed,” said Serena Everton, e-commerce director at Kookai. “Magento, with its open-source heritage, enables Kookai to have greater control over its e-commerce development strategy and allow the brand to respond quickly to changing business needs, with confidence.”

 

Built for e-commerce internationalisation

 

Session Digital has been appointed to implement a flexible e-commerce platform that can be easily rolled out across other business units using a central product database combined with a feature-rich and customer-centric user interface. The agency added that it has engaged with all aspects of the Kookai business to design a site, which reflects not only the brand’s core values of femininity, elegance and quality but also its sense of fun and individuality.
