Wipro Technologies wins supply chain engagement with UK-based food retailer

The UK’s largest food producer Premier Foods has chosen the IT consulting and outsourcing company Wipro Technologies as a strategic technology partner.

As part of the five-year strategic relationship, Wipro will be supporting both systems and processes to enhance the efficiency of Premier Foods’ supply chain.

Providing SAP and cloud expertise

Wipro said it would be using its global SAP consultant base, outcome-based service models and cloud-based services competencies among others for this engagement.

Mark Vickery, Premier Foods group information systems and change director, stated: “We would like to congratulate the Wipro team for their focus, commitment and the passion in the discussions leading to our decision. Wipro’s strong SAP capabilities along with their deep CPG [consumer packaged goods] domain expertise made Wipro a natural fit for Premier Foods.”

Premier Foods produces and markets over 40 iconic British brands, including Hovis, Oxo, Branston, Homepride and Bird’s.
