Fashion retailer will equip staff with mobile touchscreen devices to boost productivity instore

Fashion retailer and Fast Retailing Company subsidiary, Uniqlo, has introduced the IT-300 handheld device from Casio worldwide for its shop staff.

In order to improve the level of customer service, store management efficiency and instore communication, Uniqlo have chosen the Casio IT-300 for shop staff to carry and use for a wide range of daily tasks.

Finding the right device

While Uniqlo made no comment on news of the deal, the manufacturer said the retailer had several reasons for choosing IT-300 against several other devices.

The deciding factors included the IT-300’s portable and compact form factor; its integrated high-performance barcode scanner for stock management and stocktaking; a large touchscreen that supports multi-finger action input and numeric keypad; multi-language options; and its ergonomic appearance, which harmonises with the store space and Casio’s global after-sales service.
