New m-commerce development adds editorial focus after footwear retailer doubles mobile conversion rates after launch in less than a year
Ladies UK footwear retailer Moda in Pelle has updated its mobile app, following the success of the first version launched last November.
More than 14,000 shoppers have downloaded the app so far, giving Moda a 100% increase in their mobile conversion rate. A further 2,500 customers use the app every month, with an average order value of £64.
The shopping app for iPhone and iPad was developed by London-based company Poq Studio. It enables consumers to buy footwear and accessories over their phone or tablet, with a completely secure checkout and editorial features to engage customers.
New features added in the update include a shoppable lookbook, a wishlist where customers can save their favourite products and a homepage with changing promotions.
Stephen Sumner, from Moda in Pelle, stated: “Working with Poq Studio has given Moda in Pelle a new opportunity to link with customers on the go. The easy-to-use app beautifully presents our high quality product offering allowing us to open up a new channel for our customers and drive mobile sales to a level not seen before.”
