Boodles sparkles with new network provider

By Retail Technology | Tuesday November 20 2018

Jewellery designer and seller Boodles has implemented a new network that is enhancing customer service and security

Boodles is using Vodat’s MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) network between its stores to enable its sales advisors to meet the highest standards of customer service by viewing the entire bespoke jewellery catalogue instantly via their tablet devices.

It not only enhances customer experience and improves conversion, but also removes the disruption to service experienced when sales assistants must sort out stock issues back-of-house.

Not having to leave customers alone in the service area also has another crucial benefit for Boodles, increasing security and reducing the incidence of theft in-store.

William Wood, IT manager, Boodles said: “Vodat really understands retail. We needed a managed network service provider who could manage all our requirements, as well as offer instant and ongoing support. Security was also a key issue for us - we wanted the provider to manage all the connections for maximum security and control and we were comfortable that Vodat offered the best systems to help us achieve that.”

Support team

Boodles also required a support team that would be available 24/7, ensuring that its customers’ experience was never interrupted at any point of their journey.

Vodat’s customer support team includes a dedicated Account Manager who is always available to assist.

The solution provider has also continued to upgrade Boodles’ network, which has led to improved customer service in-store and greater staff efficiency.
