Evri pilot success with e-cargo bikes

By Retail Technology | Tuesday March 24 2026

Delivery firm Evri recorded full uptime with zero servicing during a winter pilot of four-wheeled e-cargo bikes by Vok Bikes

Between November 2025 and January 2026, Evri’s couriers delivered approximately 14,000 parcels using the bikes as part of a peak-season stress test. The fleet covered about 720 miles, averaging roughly 10 miles per vehicle per day.

Across the entire trial, the bikes required no servicing. Despite constant daily use, peak workloads, and winter exposure, the vehicles operated without downtime or any maintenance intervention, marking a significant milestone for operators evaluating a shift from vans to cargo bikes.

“This trial showed that cargo bikes are now capable of offering a comparable alternative to traditional vans in terms of reliability and vehicle load, while outperforming on productivity metrics,” said Luke Turnbull, eCargo Operations Manager at Evri.
