The UK's largest fashion retail will orchestrate omnichannel fulfilment operation and drive business growth with deal for new supply chain management software component
UK based multi-national retailer, Arcadia Group, has selected multiple components from the Supply Chain Commerce Solutions portfolio of Manhattan Associates to enable new supply chain processes and maximise service levels across its growing omnichannel retail operations.
Arcadia Group operates a network of 1,500 stores in the UK, as well as over 700 franchise and concession stores in 42 international markets, and an online retail operation, serving customers in 123 countries through some 40 websites supporting multiple languages and currencies.
Its brand portfolio includes Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Wallis and Evans. With a complex and evolving commerce footprint, the retailer reported that it was looking for a proven, scalable supply chain management platform to support omnichannel retail operations and to support the business’s continued growth.
Supporting international operations
Sir Philip Green, owner of Arcadia Group, stated: “Manhattan’s solutions will help our team manage the growing supply chain complexity associated with running a multi-brand, multi-channel and increasingly international retail operation. They will help ensure our brands’ products continue to be readily available to our customers throughout the world, no matter how they choose to shop with us – instore and online.”
Components from the Manhattan portfolio, which include its SAP Netweaver-based SCOPE Supply Chain Process Platform 2011 and multichannel commerce order management, inventory and fulfilment and planning modules, will be used to replace Arcadia’s legacy supply chain technologies and integrate with the retailer’s other enterprise systems.
Flexible fulfilment approach
Alda Andreotti, Arcadia’s supply chain director, added: “The Manhattan solutions will help us streamline operational processes within our distribution centres and provide us with improved visibility of both inventory and data across our supply chain operations.
"They will help support new routes to market as we build our e-commerce and multichannel capabilities and as we expand internationally. A more flexible fulfilment approach and improved service levels will help us strengthen loyalty and customer relationships, which in turn will help drive revenue and profitability.”
