Smyths Toys adds new gift card for Christmas

Christmas shoppers can now stock up on toys using local gift cards as Smyths Toys becomes the latest retailer to join the Town & City Gift Card concept from Miconex.

Smyths Toys stores in Scotland now accept the local gift cards in Aberdeen, East Ayrshire, Falkirk and Inverness, with UK stores set to follow.

In Ireland, Smyths Toys stores in Sligo and Drogheda now accept Town & City Gift Cards. The gift card gets swiped at the till like a debit or credit card, with the balance automatically updated.

Mark Dinkin, head of finance at Smyths Toys, said: “What better time to join the Town & City Gift Card initiative than Christmas, giving people the chance to spend their local gift cards on toys and gifts during the festive season and beyond.”
