Amazon drone deliveries coming to UK

By Retail Technology | Thursday October 26 2023

Amazon has announced it will start using drones to deliver parcels in the UK staring with a single currently unknown location at the end of next year

The company has been working with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to meet UK regulations.

Amazon already offers drone deliveries in the US in two US states.

David Carbon, vice president of Amazon Prime Air, told the BBC that drone deliveries are “hundreds of times safer than driving to the store” and added that he’d “never heard anyone say they wouldn't want something faster”.
